So what’s with the platypus?
This author has an affinity with the mighty platypus: a mammalian in a semi aquatic lifestyle. Like a fish out of water but the other way round. If ducks could be cuddled without the feathers going all over the place, it wouldn’t be a duck, it’d be a platypus, and that’s a completely different class in the animal kingdom.
