Luffa Planting
This page will document the whole process of growing these interesting plants. It is a page in progress so pictures and such will be added.
Seeds were obtained through Jungle Seeds.
Sowing :: Day 1
Seeds were sown in peaty soil 1/4 inch deep. They were then left in an indoor area where the temperature was at a steady temperature of between 25C ~ 30C. I also kept the pots in a plastic bag to keep it insulated.
Note: Most standard multi purpose compost are peat based.
Sprout Transfer :: Day 10
Seeds had sprouted and making their way upwards, I repotted them in newspaper pots, made sure that the composts weren’t dry, keeping them in their plastic bags I moved them to a sunny and relatively warm area.
