Newspaper Pots
When I first heard about newpaper pots for my plants, I was intrigued but a bit bothered about the ink being toxic. I then discovered later that most newpapers nowadays use soy ink for colour printing which isn’t harmful to plants. I did see a warning elsewhere however that if you’re worried about petroleum based colour ink (toxic) you should stick to black and white prints.

Reading this made me remember my grandmother being allergic to fresh newspapers. My grandfather had to read them first, to “air out the pages”, or she would start sneezing. She died many years ago now; the ink was probably not as environmentally friendly back then.
